SUPREME COURT ISSUES FAVORABLE SUMMARY DECISION FOR FIRM’S CLIENT IN ESCOBAR V. TEXAS

On January 9, 2023, the Supreme Court issued a favorable decision for the firm’s client in Escobar v. Texas, a capital case. Daniel Woofter was Counsel of Record. The Court granted the firm’s petition, vacated the judgment, and remanded the case to the Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas for further consideration in light of the confession of error by respondent Texas in its brief filed on September 28, 2022.
