SUPREME COURT ISSUES FAVORABLE DECISION FOR FIRM’S CLIENT IN GEORGIA V. PUBLIC.RESOURCE.ORG INC.

On April 27, the Supreme Court issued a favorable decision for the firm's client in Georgia v. Public.Resource.Org Inc. Eric Citron argued for the respondent. In a 5-4 decision written by Justice Roberts, the court affirmed the lower court's ruling, holding that the annotations beneath the statutory provisions in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated are ineligible for copyright protection under the government edicts doctrine.
