Supreme Court Issues Favorable Decision for Firm’s Client in Discrimination Claims Case

On April 29, 2015, the Supreme Court issued a favorable decision for the firm’s client in Mach Mining v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Tom Goldstein argued for the petitioner.  In an opinion written by Justice Kagan, the Court unanimously held that the EEOC’s conciliatio obligation is judicially enforceable, though the EEOC receives deference.  The opinion can be found here.
