Firm Files Opening Brief in Whistleblower-Retaliation Case Before the Second Circuit

Today Daniel Woofter filed the opening brief on behalf of the plaintiff-appellant in Katzel v. American International Group, Inc., No. 22-2764 (2d Cir.). The case involves whistleblower-retaliation claims pursuant to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and state law breach of contract and tortious interference claims, alleging that AIG retaliated against a former top legal executive for reporting compliance violations and material weaknesses in the company’s internal controls that could harm AIG and its shareholders.
